Rumi Designed Plate

The “Rumi”, one of the leading motifs of the Turkish decorative arts, has, since its beginnings, been a basic ornament not only in manuscripts, but in all branches of decorative arts: in tile work, clothing, wood carving etc. They developed especially in the hands of the Anatolian Seljuks who made ample use of them. Dimensions 41*41*5 cm .It is completely handmade art work. It is produced in traditional Turkish ceramic quality, famous for its strength. Firing temperature is between 900-1200 degrees centigrade. It was produced with the technique of under glazing and the natural earth dyes which are water based and the colors last very long and don’t fade.
